this is from _very_ old days.

    - you need an old NC with BT-Connection to a phone providing internet access (7.9 for example)
In these days this was used to update traffic information etc. from TT abo

This patch uses this connection to update ephem.

    The bash script inside
    \TTquickgpsfix\extras\TTquickgpsfix\TTquickgpsfix-wrapper
    tells everything you need

nice idea by the way. Maybe we can use a modified version on newer devices with internal GSM-modem like x50, but since these devices are EoL all abos are canceled and internet access will be too.

Yes, it would be nice to be able to adapt this option to navcore 9.702. Truckers could update satellites without a computer in their truck, just by using their phone's internet connection. That's why I tested this solution, but it does not work, even by activating the Bluetooth modem on my smartphone :-(.

If one of our experts wants to take a look (maybe biggerdave), here is the detail of the files of the option "TTquickgpsfix" that I tested on a GO 630:

    The folder "\SdkRegistry" contains the files "bt.bmp", "TTbtconsole.cap", "quickgpsfix.bmp" and "TTquickgpsfix.cap".
The folder "\extras\TTbtconsole" contains the files "libbluetooth.so.2.11.2", "rfcomm" and "TTbtconsole-wrapper".
The "\extras\TTquickgpsfix" folder contains the "cabextract" and "TTquickgpsfix-wrapper" files.
The URL contained in "TTquickgpsfix-wrapper" is correct ("

    ").

Apparently it works in Bluetooth via TTbtconsole.

I first activated the Bluetooth modem on my smartphone, then connected the GPS to the smartphone and launched the Bluetooth console, but it does not work :-(.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello biggerdave,

Since you are talking about "way back", I found the old option of SdkRegistry which allowed to update the satellites directly from the GPS. Can it run on a TomTom Truck x20, x30, x40 or x50 with navcore 9.702? If so, how do you proceed? I tested it on a GO 630.

Apparently it works in Bluetooth via TTbtconsole. I first activated the Bluetooth modem on my smartphone, then connected the GPS to the smartphone and launched the Bluetooth console, but it does not work :-(.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Forget it. Go x20/30/7000 doesn't have full support for Bluetooth. Only rudimentary to connect a cell phone (maybe also an Headset), but not for the execution of programs.

    And now I'm out here...

Looks like we cant find what tomtom added to the 9.541 to make it work with sirf 3 chipsets (we know what they did for GL2 changed the glgps file ) so people with issues running x20 x30 with the truck navcore are stuck with 3 options it appears,

Keep updating the quickgps every week
press the reset button each start (after the first start of the day which works fine)
    Use the suicide dat file

Yes i know some peoples x20 x30s are working fine with 9.702 but some are not.
