A device from 2008 and a stock from 2008 isn't "brand new". The device can be a "not used", but not brand new.
But you do not have to post such nonsense twice, it does not make it any truer
Sometimes I suspect that some TomTom trolls are frolicking here...
Nothing constructive to say, but perfect senseless full-quotings. Even 2x ...Last edited by Alfred_ML; 30th April 2019 at 04:07 PM.

Hi Alfred
Can you post the suicide.dat files please

No need to post this. Create a file suicide.txt with editor. Write inside this file the value (in seconds) of the countdown-time, e.g. 10. Save it, rename it to suicide.dat and put it in the root of your device. If you use NC on your memory card, put the suicide.dat in the root of the SD.
Use your Go7000, turn it off and wait at least these 10 seconds before turning back it on. Then the Go7000 should start with time 00.00 and after finding the satellites receive the correct time automatically.Last edited by Alfred_ML; 30th April 2019 at 04:31 PM.

Try my solution, published on April 12 (post # 67).
Also try the solution below to quickly update the satellite position without having to go through TomTom Home. If the problem persists, perform a complete reset (20 seconds).
Post # 199
You can also try Alfred_ML's navcore 9.702 or mine, since we have no problem with our TomTom Trucks.

[QUOTE=Charlie62;344882]
Why should a GL2-Fix-file help for a Sirf Star III -device (Go 630)? That's Nonsense! This can't work!
I use a suicide.dat to make a complete shutdown of a device. Especially these Auto-ON-NC's are sucking your Battery off (always standby). So i use a time-value, which is long enough for short stops on the route. But if the device is not used for a longer time, it makes e complete shutdown to save the batterie. In this mode the Battery can sleep over a half year without deep discharge, same mode like in a shop). The next start is like a "hard reset". Therefore, a TT that has been in the store for a year, always can still start without charging before. In normal "shut down mode" the battery is empty after 3-4 weeks, in Auto-On-mode after 3-4 days.Last edited by Alfred_ML; 30th April 2019 at 06:43 PM.
