Inside of the house is always ambivalent. Sometimes I have 4 meters from the window recognition of the satellites, sometimes barely right by the window.

And no GpsFix will change that. And yes, clock-problems with this sh***y GL1 FFFF, but not with Sirf Star III (gpstype=3)

Alfred in my post I give the units I tested
    Go 7000 and go 720
Off course without ephem folder they got GPS signal at
The first time but all units without ephem files
If you turn off the units and after you turn on immediately
No more signal , if you awaiting 5 or 6 hours
And turn on again they fix signal
I have more of 10 units and all with the same problem
I test all 9.702 NC I find and without the ephem updated files
    Problem of signal fix
The miracle is your device not mine

Did you delete the "ephem" folder on the external card AND in the internal memory? Indeed, if the file "packedephemeris.ee" is present in one place (on the map OR in the internal memory), the GPS consults it before searching the satellites.

I currently have 15 GPS Truck in stock (GO 720, 630, 730, 540, 940, 750, 950 and 9000). NONE has a problem with satellites, even without the "ephem" folder. I just tested a few minutes ago on a GO 720 and a GO 630 by applying your procedure: delete the 2 "ephem" folders, turn off and then turn it on again immediately. The satellites are found instantly at the restart, and yet my house is surrounded by tall trees!

Try my navcore 9.702 (see post # 230).

I have no problem with all my GPS and I do not understand why you have with yours, even with my navcore. Did you try clicking on "QuickGPSfix_SiRFStarIII.exe" then doing a full reset (20 seconds)?

At the moment i have around 10x brand new GO 630 that i bought from USA, and i can confirm that after on/off they have problems picking up a signal and only reset helps (truck NC 9.702), tested with a latest official NC 9.541 (2018/12 release) and units work as they should without signal issues. Maybe there will be someone clever enough to extract fix that tomtom added in 9.541 and integrate it into 9.702 NC, otherwise i see no solution to this problem as i don't think that tomtom will release an official truck NC with a fix. Regards

Yes lets hope for a navcore genius too appear and solve it for us .possibly the change too 9.541 cannot be applied too 9.702 but it might be possible.

Yes, and all the devices of the other users of a X20/30/7000 without problems. No, you have this wonder-device! I know a lot of people with a Gox20 or Gox30 and one with a Go7000. Nobody of them has a problem after 07.04.2019. No problems with NC 9.510, 9.541 and of course no problem with NC9.702.
And I don't think it's just the used suicide.dat, that my device is working without any problems.

What 9.541-Fix for a Gox30 with Sirf Star III? The "Fix" in 9.541 is only this file "glgps". And this file is only for devices with a GL2, like Gox40/50. They need only this file to work well with the old NC like 9.510 or 9.702.
And by the way: 10 "brand new" Go 630? We have 2019 and not 2008...
