Hi all,

I have megane 3 2010 model with carminat TT (non live) see image :


I wonder if I can patch it to install Africa Maps (Africa_990_8319.rar) or Tunisia Maps wich I can't find it.
I have read many threads on this nice forum to patch content and meta file etc and I don't know what tuto I follow.

Please can you help me with that.

Try this search on google:
"Tomtom Carminat Renault - Update continuous".

There are are also some tuto in French.

The last Africa map available and compatible with your device is Africa 980_7901.

That means that Tunisia is not covered by TomTom. You can't have Tunisia on your Carminat device.

You need to install Primo on your Phone.

I've also just tested Africa_990_9301 on my phone. This map does not cover Tunisia.

To have Tunisia on your Carminat non Live, you need to use the map Africa 990_8316,
But you have to buy it. Its price: 99,95€ or 109,95€ (4 updates) or 119,95€ (1 year + 6 months)

I think, the information in your link is one of the typical TT-desinformations. These maps are for the new TT-devices like Go 6000, not for the old NAV2 (like Carminat). The current High-Level-Africa-map also do not contain Tunisia. Not the first false TT-map-information. To much weed in Amsterdam...

Hi I have done this before! so I can guide you somewhat I hope.
I know it is possible! you need a specific navcore to begin with from what I recall it is the 8842 navcore.
Start with an empty 4 gb sd card. Sorry I do not have the exact guide. I can recall you would need to put in the sd card
into the car first and then copy the content and then use fastactivate. Of course you would need the latest map too.
It took me a whole afternoon to fix it but got there in the end.. (at the time there was worldofnavigation which is offline now.. otherwise I would have directed you there..there used to be the guide I used) anyway good luck!
