Beware of the XXL, there are models that do not allow another navcore than the one that puts TTHome.
It depends on what the "Protection sector" part indicates on the black screen of the GPS.

If you put "Sector protection" NO, it is better that you do not change the original navcore.
TThome will put the navcore 9510, patch it with fastactivate and put the map of your choice.

    TNX both for tr reply.
    here mine

As you can see "Sector protection" is NO.

I will not use TThome for the update, I'll use the here 9.510 installer.
So, do I let it as NO and install the here 9.510? Or I have to change it to Yes?

    Regards

Can not change that I know, devices that have "NO" generate problems by putting a navcore that has not put TTHome, make sure that the navcore to be installed is of the "LE" type, if you put a navcore 9510 of the type "Go" Your device will not work well.

My advice is to not complicate and use TThome to update, there is no problem to do so.

Hope you can help me, I am no stranger to changing navcores, however it has been a while.
    I now have a Tomtom start 25.
To what extend is it possible to change the "start" navcore with a better non-start navcore, and which is the most up-to-date navcore I can install?

Bad news I'm afraid, it can't be done as that device uses MyDrive to connect to TT which we can't crack; as opposed to the older devices that still use TTHome

Thanks, it's a shame, the device has lifetime mapupdates, but still, I just like to play and optimize

    Hi,
I've a GO 720 (64 MB) and XL IQ 2GB (64 MB) with a 9.401 navcore. Both have the same latest menu ans same latest prefeferences.

First, I updated the GO 720 (64 MB) to this 9.510, It have the same latest menu and preferences and works like a charm
Encouraged by the GO 720, I updted my XL IQ 2GB (64 MB) to this 9.510, What a disappointment :tb:, it have an oldest menu and preferences, when TomTom Services, and Systeme infos are missed... WEIRD
I'll appreciate yr help zspecially to get TomTom Services displayed
    Regards

If you have used the same Navcore without using the skin choicer, both of your devices must have the same menu options in my opinion.
The only thing I can imagine is that the Bootloaders, when they are not the same, act different with this 9.510
Are you sure you've the 64MB version ?
