I guess the 9.530 SE (x10 modified Pakk-9.530-SE_x10, for my TT 910s) using a swap file was faster than the swapped 9.510. I do not remember well.....anyway it did not work as good as 9.510. I am not that kind of man who needs the newest gadget by all means. I Just wanted to try a system that could run faster with my device. I am happy with the 9.510 right now.

You have a GO910s ? What mean the "s" ? I've a GO910 without HDD but with a SD slot and I'm running Navcore 9.485, looks pretty good, but didn't use for a long trip yet.

I used to have two GPS units. I am pretty satisfied with the 910 model. Currently I have only one. The other one died....you know it was very old.
Have you found any advantage of using an SD card over the hard drive? Updating the maps via an SD card is likely very convenient. Isn't it? You do not need to connect the unit to computer when updates are available. Hmmm...I should think about getting my life easier. Did you use any special CF/ZIF adapter in your 910 unit?

What happen with the other one ? I think mine is or was as old as yours, it is one of the first GO910, I thought 7 years old now, without the HDD I test it some days ago the GO910 with SD is running for at least 6 hours
on the old battery. One I bought a CF converter, but in my case it won't run, maybe due of a wrong card I realy don't know. It's still available for free who wanna try it also. I bought the SD slot in England

unfortunately they don't send outside the UK, I've a realy good radio friend there which received and forwarded me replacement.
Sure it's more speedy without using the normal dockstation, but what to think about an extra 12GB and when you want to do a test, for yourself or anybody else, just remove de SD card and use a second one.
You switch from one to another card into a split second, realy convenient, another Navcore ? No problem at all. Not satisfied ? Put the old one easy back.

Yeahh, you are right...in old times I remember I had two navcores in my device. A very good (fast) 8.417 nc and a very nice (slow but 3 pans) 9.054 nc. I switched them based on my needs. These days are away...I have bought my first GO 910 in 2007 in US...was impossible to drive over NYC, D.C. with a map on car seat. This 910 has died 3 years ago. I broke it....so I bought another (used) one.

    you dont need the "swapfile"
    X10's have enough RAM
these swapfiles are meant for 32 ram devices , such as the One's

I do not say I need the nc with a swapfile. But you would be surprised by an enormous increase of the 910 unit speed if using the latest op systems (9.510 and higher) with swap file included. I used to have 9-10 mb of ram with the modified nc 9. Now I have almost 20 mb on ram and the improved reactivity behavior. It is not about "memory boosting" for 32 mb units.
