The normal and TTS voices are there but no sound.
TT XL IQ 2GB (64MB) NC 9.071.
I have an NC 9.401 that has proven itself and that works very well on a second TT XL 30 and a GO 720. I try to update this TomTom (TT XL IQ 2GB) with this NC 9.401, unfortunately, I do not have the sound of the voice. The normal voices and TTS appear in the menu (change voice) and when I tap to test, there is no sound.
Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I'll really appreciate yr help.

Since no one has answered this post, I will try to rephrase my question.
I recall the problem: I am trying to update the XL IQ 2GB NC 9.071 with the NC 9.401 (used on XL 30 and GO 720 successfully). After formatting the XL IQ 2 GB, I first copy the original ttgo.bif then I copy NC 9.401 and finally the maps. Everything works well except the sound. And this, although I have the startup sound and the normal and TTS voices are present in the menu change voice.
I opened with Total Commander the TomTom XL IQ 2 GB NC 9.071 and the TomTom XL NC 9.401 (see image below) to compare the contents.
The idea is to keep the TT XL IQ with its NC 9.071 files and copy over the minimum file needed for it to work with NC 9.401. Which NC 9.401 files should I copy?

I think your problem at this moment is the VocalizerTTS, as far as I remember it's made by someone for devices without TTS
Use in both devices only LoquendoTTS

TNX pe1agp for yr reply. I deleted VocalizerTTS and added LoquendoTTS... still no sound of the voice, although the normal and TTS voices appear in the change voice menu I'm stuck
Any idea ???

I know this TT XL IQ 2GBRam is End of life.
However, is it still possible to update the NavCore with TTHome?

You're using Navcore 9.401, what to think about to try 9.510 for 64mb devices
Just give it a try, it won't harm your system and I'm quite sure TTS is possible with this Navcore due to it's on my GO 910 as well on my GO 950 an some otherr devices.

TNX pe1agp for yr reply. I hope you stay with me until Tthis problem is resolved.
First, sorry for the delay, here the explanations.
I format the device and copy all directory files from my
So, I REformat the device and installed the NC directly from the Downunders NC 9.510 Universal_NC_Installer tool, by selecting "9.510 for GO models (64 mb Ram)". After the install I start the device, get the sound od the startup and... it stuck with the splashw.bmp for more than a hour. I hard reset the device and still stuck with the splashw.bmp.
Now I comeback with the original NC 9.071... everything works just fine several normal and TTS language voices.
If you have a proven NC 9.510, I'll be grateful if you could upload for my TT XL IQ 2GB (64 MB Ram) serial number starting with GJ.

In the first place you're 2 map updates behind if you're using this map in the picture.
Next, if you don't have problems with Navcore 9.071, why to change a winning team ?
You've to use Greece 1010_8891 in combination with your old Navcore.
If you still want another Navcore, hang on and mind your mailbox, please.

I use the maps (Greece or Israel) in the picture because they are small, size and to do my tests it's perfect. In fact, I use the Europe West and Israel card.
I do not want to use NC 9.071 because it is obsolete and has little settings option, and above all it does not include TomTom Services. While 9.401 or 9.510 offer more settings, including ToTom Services.
BTW, I'm using FAT32 quick format system. Is it correct? or I've to use FAT Format?
Also, do I have to low level format, format or quick format the device?
