Choice Help Needed
Need a little help here with choosing a new Sat Nav. Maybe not Tom Tom, maybe some other brand etc, I just don't know, We still have an old TomTom One V1 which some time ago I passed on to my daughter as our then new car was a Nissan Qashquai which had a sat nav built in, (Nissan Connect?) Anyway, that did all we really needed. However, we've now changed cars to a Ford Kuga and there's no onboard sat nav, having been out of the loop for quite a while i could use some advice.
All I need is UK maps, definitely wont be taking it out of the country, I really want speed camera database, preferably that alerts you whether your navigating or not (was a nice touch in the qashqai) I dont really care if I have to add the speed camera database stuff myself, but thats about all I need, so am looking for a recommendation. My 2 penny's :
Look out for second hand GO model .
Basicly any GO will do , as long its not a NAV3 version or later !!! ( with the black 3-piece bar at the bottom )
Almost all GO's have sufficiant disk-space and / or a card-slot ( card-slot is highly recommended ( by me ) )
ONE's usually have less disk-space , no card-slot .
With a decent GO , complete with mount and cables , at fair price , you are settled for many years .
You will need to upgrade it to new navcore and map , but that should be no problem .
