Apparently with this new version, it killed A TON of options for my TomTom 720. Wont let me operate my device via the computer anymore, wont let you update (buy) maps anymore, wont let you use the route planner anymore as they are all greyed out and if you click on them, it will display a dumb message saying your junk is too old, click here to buy a new device. I see the 920's are not in the list of devices that are EOL and I know there was a way to make your TomTom 720 think it was a 920 somehow. I think it was using the model.txt file and mine shows x20 now but cant remember what was needed to trick it. Either way, I get removing the maps and activation code but to kill the plan trip and operate my device, not too happy about that right now. I tried going back one version of TT Home but it wont let me use it anymore and forces the update.

UPDATE: I fixed it so TTH wont update anymore (I should say, until another new version possibly shows up) and I got every thing back. I just downloaded version v2.10.2.750 right from TomTom () and installed it right over 2.10.4.150 (No need to uninstall) and then I did not run TomTom home after install was done, then went to (Win7) C:\Program Files (x86)\TomTom HOME 2\xul and opened application.ini in Notepad++ and changed the lines as shown below...
Find:
Replace with:
Then save and enjoy.

When I start my old version I don't see any new update available when I ask for
But when I dowlod your version and after install it's possible to use my GO 910 with and without your modification
Another strange thing, when I ask if there is an update I get one and the possibility to modify, repair or remove
When my choice is repair I get the older version back and I'm still able to manage my GO 910
When I start the version which I've downloaded via your link and which show version v2_10_2_750_win.exe after the install I see v2.10.4.150
Realy funny isn't ?

It has nothing to do with a Navcore update, with or without only some minor updates were available like speedcam and map patch and satelite updates.
I was using my GO 910 SHDC card with 1005_Western_Europe_1_1005_8760\ 1005_Western_Europe_2_1005_8760\ 1005_Western_Europe_3_1005_8760\ installed
Nothing about to change nor update of my 9.510, I'll add some more maps.
I'm wondering too if it's possible to buy new maps.
P.S.
They offer me 41 maps, but I don't see map of the world.
Maybe it's possible to test it via the site
P.P.S.
Strange, it's possible to buy the lifetime world version 995 (two updates behind) map for my Rider v2, while that one has original only 2GB SD card
Than I expect it must be possible with my GO 910 and GO 950 too, but I've registered just one device
@Orni
I didn't use TomTom Home, but direct from their site
There was before a test if your device was still supported, my GO 910 was.
Maybe when you go further with your order they will ask you for the two first digits of your serialnumber and cancel it when it won't fit your device
Nearly € 170 for 6 updates started from version 995 which mean, you lost already 2 of them
Map of the World is still available for my GO 910 too
Which advantage wil that be for us ?

A few years ago I posted that it was easier to change the first digit of the line to a 3, in other words 2.10.4.150 would become 3.10.4.150 then no more worries ever regarding TTHome updates,
that is unless of course you want them. Not having a TomTom unit anymore I don't very often visit this section but I have tried it again this morning out of curiosity and this trick still works.

Nobody, as far as I know, has bought maps with an old version of TThome, it is true that the map purchase icon is active to buy maps with "eol" device but ...
Will the server generate the activation file "dct"? or the people from the Netherlands will have disabled the function in serial numbers of devices they have already killed.
I noticed that they have arranged the creation of accounts with fictitious email, "youdonotmind@my_email.com", although you can still create accounts with fictitious email if the domain is known, even if the email does not work.
The trick of imlost works, but there are devices that are not well recognized if the number of "aplication.ini" is not functional, I still think it is better to put the last version number.
What I do is:
Install the latest modern version.
Textar the new application.
Copy "aplication.ini" from the xul folder to the desktop.
Uninstall TThome.
Install previous version to choose.
Go back to xul and paste "aplication.ini" over the one you have from the old version.

I actually believe that is yet another cockup by the tt mapshop "experts" and the current one you would get is indeed the v1005.
I've just checked the serials for my 940 and 7000 and they are still valid for that map(s)
