- Nuvì 1440 wants NT Maps () and not NTU
- It uses only Detailed Map and JCV
Download from Link above the IMG format Map/s you want (Full Europe or any SubSet), Unlock them as indicated, if not and copy Maps in:
- internal folder \.System -> only 1 Map named as gmapprom.img (rename your download if necessary)
- internal folder \Garmin -> only 1 Map named as gmapsupp.img (rename your download if necessary)
- internal folder \Map -> all the Maps you want named as anyname.img
- external SD folder \Garmin -> only 1 Map named as gmapsupp.img (rename your download if necessary)
- external SD folder \Map -> all the Maps you want named as anyname.img
Download from Link above the JCVs you want (Large or Small version) and copy *.JCV in:
- internal folder \.System\JCV or - external SD folder \Garmin\JCV
No, it is Not possible
You found nothing because there is nothing to found
- Nuvì 1440 is a very old device and doesn't need any Firmware Patch to read Unlocked Maps
- You must care using Unlocked NT Maps ONLY

Thanks Firefox, I needed the latest updates for the software, I had one that unfortunately no longer works for me, in fact I was using NT maps, now I have found an occasional one and I wanted to update it to the latest software if it was possible

The latest Firmware for Nuvì 13xx - 14xx (HWID: 972) is the version 6.30, dated on July 29 2015
Verify the firmware version directly on Device

Hi Firefox I'm sorry if I take this opportunity, I connected the nav with Garmin exspress, updated to version 6.30, looking inside I see several files, which to delete and which should remain, I would use an SD to load the maps I don't know how to post a photo of the various files

Which file to delete and which not is not easy, it depends on subjectivity.
Surely there are files that can be safely deleted, like *.sum files, all language you don't use in folder \Text and \Voice
If you are planning to use external microSD you will not have prolems, follow my indications above about files location

Ok I'll see, unfortunately there are a lot of files, the internal memory is full, I'll see if I find something where I can see the files that must remain for the system, if you have any advice or links Thanks

Your nuvi 1440 is a regional device so it won't make enough difference deleting files. The gmaprom.img the old map file is the largest & the only 1 I would recommend delete if you don't know what you are doing. Use a Tool like J to be safe
Just get an SD card ,the whole of Europe NT maps are too big unless you choose a set to put on the device.
