Delete the gmapprom.img file (make a backup first) and store the new gmapsupp.img into same .system folder

Cheers , where can I download latest UK & ROI Maps - any ideas? Downloaded a 2019 gmapprom.img over 2GB - no idea how to extract just the UK Map.
Under .System\JCV there is one file D2920040A.sum on Nuvi 50, do I rename the downloaded JCV files fom .jcv too .sum?
Do I need SID, SQLite, 4Square or they not compatible with that device?
Appreciate your kind help
Many Thanks

Yes it's possible to extract partial maps, but judging from the basic nature of your questions I advise against this approach. (Search for 'mapinstall' if you insist on rising to the challenge).
I advise you to get a microSD card for your device and load the new maps onto it. On the SD card, create a \Map root folder and store there the new map (*.img file).
Create on the SD another \Garmin\JCV root folder and store the new JCV file. This way you will end up with 2 map versions (your original and the new one), which you can enable or disable as you wish.
You can also delete the old map files (having backed them up first!)
Not sure about the SID, SQLite, 4Square as my unit is an older one. Basically, if your device currently does not have these files then they are not.
I also wonder if the Nuvi 50 belongs to the new generation which would not authenticate UNLOCKED maps, but then you'll find oi out right away
