    Default Garmin DriveSmart 66 - adding Unlocked maps on SD card

    Is it possible to add additional maps for the Garmin DriveSmart 66 on an SD card?

    I tried to add a map of Europe in the Maps folder of the SD card, but it is not seen or recognized by the DS-66.

    Or is it not possible on the DriveSmart units?

    Which maps ?
    How do you name the files ?
    Your device cannot read unlocked maps, you need to buy them.

    Hello, what if I have on my device version 8.3 already? Can I apply this file? If not, how should I proceed?

    There are following information on my device:

    Hello,

    I managed to find gcd file for my version of Alpha 100. I tried to use webupdater to patch the device and although it looked like it was succesfully imported into the device in the end there is no change for me. After that I tried to put the file into the garmin folder of the device manually, but it hasnt worked as well. Any advice?

    You need to either flash BIN files using SD card method, or to use the GCD simply change the software version of the V8.30 file to V8.31 using RGN_Tool, like in the image below:
