I have above mentioned device in my car with a map from 2012 (CN Europe 2012.20).
I want to update to version 2016 or 2017, whatever is available.
The Garmin site says I need to do via USB, but I have no idea how to do this and what files I need to copy on what and in what map.
Can anyone help with some kind of tutorial how to do this?

I think your device contain SD slot, you can use unlocked image [SD]:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img

OK I can try that. have to get an SD card to try.
there are many more files in the download, do I need those? and how to organise them on the SD card?

I wonder how this guy got on. It would make subjects like this one more effective if members returned and gave others insight into actions and results.
