After you start the car and insert a stick into the USB gadget (board) and wait for about 30 seconds,after going to a computer and sticking a 1B file into the FSC code generator you find here-

Access the BMW FSC Generator and after uploading the 1B file you must select the map,and if you want you can select the '' Lifetime Code '' box and the generated code will be a Lifetime code and will not ask for code for the next update.
