I am new to Car GPS so please bear with me.
I have an Audi A3 ( 2014) with came fitted with a SD card based SATNAV. I have an SD card with it which shows a version 8V0 919 866 B

My questions:
1) I am trying to copy its contents in order to make a backup in case the original get corrupted. But I cannot get the backup to run on the SATNAV, it does not recognize it. Is it protected in some way ? Is it possible to make a Backup copy ?

2) Is it possible to use a newer map version on it and use an activator to activate it ?

Any help much appreciated.
