TTS NZ English and TTS Hindi?

When you downloaded the Joe Pecci file, it should contain in the lines
english
data93.chkbut it actually contained the line data96.chk with is incorrect. So I altered it - simple as that


It is the same as Billy Connoly. But you can only use one at a time, so you need to copy/paste those files to e.g. data931 etc first or you will lose one of them.

So you would so something similar for Al Pachino. The secret is to make sure that the vif file contains the same name as the chk file. Also you may need to run FastActivate which will create a dct if needed to blend in the new file (possibly not needed) but won't hurt

Some sounds will not work (numbers over data99, but you just modify the files according to what you want.

Personally I think most of the voicies suck and when to computer voices soon afterwards. At least with a female voice, you can curse them back haha


There is a good thing about the LoquendoTTS language voices that you can altern the pronunciation so it sounds correct. eg Bolton and A Worded raods and streets sound wrong, but i altered a few wrong words so that Bolton instead of sounding bollton is now Bowlton and A is ay and B is be ...and so one.

You cannot do that on newer units, but the sounds mostly are better, but still incredably wrong

Very very few options out there and I have found out that I do really like my street names read out loud. I'm after NZ English, both male and female, and a TTS Hindi if that is at all out there. Oh well, I agree. I examined the file structure and, as you mentioned, while it seems like it might be possible to convert one into another, I have given up the idea seeing as all this might not be worth the effort just to get a different accent of the same language :-) And Hindi, as we all agree, is not available in TTS version. :-(
