Default NAV3 maps on NAV2 devices

I made a little manual for you, how to use Nav3 maps on Nav2 device.
It is done in three simple steps.

Step 1. Select and download the new map.
Find the correct Nav3 map and download it with “TTActivator.exe”
    It will only work if;
    - your device has a 9.xxx navcore that is patched. This can also be done with “TTActivator.exe”
    - the map fits on your Nav2 device (after optimalisation Step 2)
    - the map must have a meta-code.
In the attached “Nav3-Nav2_conversion.rar” file you will find the file "meta.txt" with all meta-codes till sept. 12 2023 and "Meta_1115_Nav23.txt" with the meta-codes for nav2 and nav3 for map-version 1115.
You can also search for a correct map in this post

Step 2. Optimize the new map for Nav2
Optimise the map with the tool “Optimize_nav3.exe”.
You can find it in the attached “Nav3-Nav2_conversion.rar” file.
Put the tool and the map in an empty folder and start the tool.
Follow the instructions on your screen. If the tool is ready, the map is optimized.

Step3. Install on device and activate
Copy the optimised map to your Nav2 device and activate it with “TTActivator.exe”.
If necessary, update before activation the meta-codes with the toolbox of TTActivator or put the "meta.txt" file from the attached “Nav3-Nav2_conversion.rar” file in the same folder as TTActivator.exe.
You find the latest version of TTActivator.exe in this post.

After this the new map must work on you device.
I tried this on my Go 950, GO XXL and GO One XL, all with navcore 9.451, and on my very old GO 300 with navcore 9.510.
    All four with success.

If you still have questions, please let me know.

Help NAV3 maps on NAV2 devices

Hi, I have renault megane 3 with carminat tomtom NO LIVE, my question is It´s possible to convert somehow nav3 map or higher to carminat NAV2 map?
Because since map version 1115 is no longer any meta codes for maps on carminat NAV2.

I'd be interested in that, too.
    I have too carminat(nav2) with navcore 8843

Hi I'm using the Optimize tool and it asked me 2 questions about deleting items. It was a yes or no question one of which was delete the speech data. Should both be answered yes to allow the maps to operate or can I leave the speech data active to allow this to operate in my Tomtom.

    Your help is appreciated.

I downloaded the Nav3-Nav2_conversion.rar twice and tried to use it and windows security came up with this 1st time Trojan:Win32/Phonzy.A!ml and second time Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml
are these false and should I allow?

Hi Peter, in general terms (rather than code-level detail) what does the Optimize_nav3.exe do. I have briefly tried Nav 3 maps on my Go 720 and they seem to work ok. What does the tool add or prevent?
    Thanks
