Help with patching uk map

Thanks again mate, to be honest apart from doing a fresh start on the sd card not sure what I did different but it worked and as I say so impressed with its ease of use.

Have a TT one v3 running 9.510 and according to the compatablity chart , map version " uk and ire 1060.10557 is compatable. I have tried updating the meta files from within Fastactivate menu but is is showing as last updated 21/10 so have copy and pasted the required meta txt file into the intergrated meta txt folder within my map folder but when I try to patch the map using fastactivate I Rating: 5

I take it Fastactivate works out what particular map version works for your TT unit and then you select if you want to download it to a temp folder or straight to your unit itself ?

Actually downloaded the map previously onto my pc before using this application
but sure it downloaded it again from the Fastactivate server or whatever ?

Yep sorry my mistake meant to say that TT activator works out what particular map is suitable for your particular TT unit...impressed !!

And yes have made a complete back up of the folder of the TT.

Despite Fredderf told you to use the mymeta.txt name, maybe he mixed up with another tool, but sure for Fastcativate it must be meta.txt

No, it says quite clearly in the FastActivate help file to use mymeta.txt

Update got FastActivate to work by allowing wget.exe permission in firewall although it used to work before without giving permission and I used the mymeta.txt file and all was ok using the meta.txt did not work so thank you for the help.

The help files were modified some time ago by P33dro...but yes, it will be good when he updates the IP address

Reading the manual DOES help as itekweni has just proved....he said quite clearly that mymeta.txt worked but meta.txt did not work

Try an experiment with it yourself and you'll see that using meta.txt no longer works

P3dro has not modified the help files yet.
First we did have a long wait before he changed updated_meta.txt to meta.txt in the tool due to some problems with that name
No I'm and we're waiting for the IP address update, stil nothing heard from him yet.

Yes you may say read the fucking manual, but it won't help you at all.

wget.exe is used within Fastactivate to get the needed files from my server, for example meta4.rar which wil be renamed to meta.txt
And also of course an update of Fastactivate itself, but that is not possible at present due to at least 3 weeks ago an IP address was an unexpected present for me.
Now also 3 weeks ago I've sent that information to P3dro, my new ip address and also my new hostname which must be used instead of my ip address,
with a big thanks for fredderf who gave me the right place to get a cheap account for the next year.
But no sound from P3dro yet, I'm wondering if he's stil with us.
