    Hi all,

A dummies guide to patching NAV3 using TTActivator

I have a Start 52. I try it with TTActivator, but it doesn't work.
When I click on 'install standard patch' it gives a error and the program (TTActivator) close.
Also I tried it with another laptop, but the same happened.
Does anyone knows what the problem is or what I need to/can do?

    Already thanks a lot.

    Great,

Start 52 should be a NAV4 device. The TTActivator-option "MSTMS-patch" is only for NAV3 devices with the specified aplications (NC).

Thank you. I thought so too. No other solution?

If things go badly, you need to wait another 10 years upon NAV4 solution

A dummies guide to patching NAV3 using TTActivator
After a disappointing experience with a 16GB card from Sandisk and a better result with an 8GB SD
card and partly due to a positive message that 32GB should also be able, I now have the 64GB but of
borrowed my GoPro Hero 2 and indeed with a surprising result.

I did use the Start 20 to format and format the SD card.
I encountered some problems with formatting and formatting via RLinkexplorer.

The procedure followed was first started with the Start 20 and only then the SD card was inserted.
Then in the card reader and provided with maps via RLinkexplorer.

It is, however, careful with such a Start 20, if you try to remove the SD card
it happens regularly that it jumps in all directions.

The following NAV3 maps have been tested by me in groups as shown below.
I think there is a maximum number of maps that you can put on an SD card.
Up to about 17 maps I still did well, although during the first test Europe_Zone_6_1050_10185
was last on the SD card it was not displayed on the screen of the Start 20.
The entire map was present when checked.

Depending on the map size, it would appear that 16 maps are displayed on the Start 20
the maximum number is, the number 17 placed Europe_Zone_6_1050_10185 did fit on the SD card but
    was not visible afterwards.

    P.S.
Although I can see that in the meta.txt of TTactivator the series 10206 and 10262 are present, they do not work on the Start 20 for for example Benelux 1050 -10260

    P.P.S
The error messages most probably caused me to let the meta.txt update run too late

Thanks pe1agp, in the start model any map can be installed without problem if it has meta code.
Since you say the 1050_10260 maps are not in the TTActivator meta.txt, you should use the "Upload_meta" tool to update your meta.txt in the Start20 and add the latest codes.

In any case, the 1050_10260 maps are specific to Via, because this Via model manages voice orders differently, however in Start20 it does not matter because it is a model that does not have asr.

Where we have to be careful is when installing maps to "Via" models, only sayville or non-asr are useful, with the latter the asr option of the Via device is lost.

I have been trying to run the truck on Via and I have seen that it is not possible.

Only "camper sayville" works correctly on Via 130/135 devices.

    @Orni
Although I had updated the meta, those maps are not working. (Now they do very well)
I then in TTactivator went back to the NAV2 options.
There the action started to update the meta.txt.
I then went looking for that meta.txt file and indeed found the entire series 10260 and 10262.

However, a quick test with Benelux 1050 10260 gave the same incorrect result. (This one not tested yet, but it must be the same like all other maps)
As you certainly rightly point out that these are for a special device, I assume that should be the problem ?

Absolutely not convinced Aad, 10262 is the map that is installed on the Start20 that I have in my hands.

Try again and again, it can't not work.

I really don't know what happen, Europe 1050 10262 is running
But I've found my problem with the Benelux 1050 10260, no meta available
    I'll test Europe 1050 10260 once more
