You must install MyDriveConnect from TomTom.
But when you run TTActivator it (MyDriveConnect) must not be running.

Hey guys! Just trying to get some maps on my TomTom Rider 500 but TTActivator does not list it. I installed MyDriveConnect and also closed it afterwards. Any ideas? I already did a software update on the TomTom yesterday, maybe it was not a good idea and it prevents this hack to be happening?
Thanks in advance!

What two letters are the first in your device number?

It's starting with "KG", Nav5, according to a PDF which I found here to identify it. It has this Wi-Fi feature, but my version only has the central Europe maps and honestly I don't even understand the map subscriptions from TomTom. I can "buy" the whole world for 59EUR but individual countries already cost up to 69EUR. I guess those are more detailed?
I am still very confused about all the things and switching between old and new tutorials. Not sure if it's even possible what I try, or if it makes sense

The maps are always the same, no matter what subscription you buy, tomtom does not make more detailed maps for smaller subscriptions. If you are going to buy a subscription, buy the cheapest one, check the forum for the discount codes that some colleagues publish.
As Biggerdave indicates, nav5 has been decrypted, it is somewhat more complicated than in previous versions, but it can be done, I have managed to patch a Go Basic and I have seen the great work that the MSTMS team has developed.
Remember that I am a blonde girl, if I have achieved it, anyone can do it.

I'll believe you're blond, but I have reasonable doubts about the qualifications which normally are associated with it, sorry

Thanks biggerdave and Orni!
Opening the device is currently a bit of an overkill, I am still in a try-out phase.
I am quite baffled that modern navigation system still feel so slow, so I might just give it back and buy an older Nav3-device, which will probably feel the same and is easily hackable.

I think it is more accurate to use an older Rider than these newer devices. I think this is the best rider device Tomtom has ever built
