You've got more patience than me; Calibration really is a hit 'n miss game of chance as can be seen from the vast differences in numbers.
I'd have ditched it by now so well done. Obviously you'll now do a full Windows backup!!

Thank you biggerdave for your compliment and encouragement

    I still have 2 questions:

    1) Where can I find a TomTom model list by serial number as

    ?
    I find

    but missing dtails like 335LE /335SE / 335LM

This last issue has no connection with this thread. Let me know if I have to open a new topic.
I'm using FireFox 60.0.2 (64 bits) with some addons. When I am connected to GPSurl site, I have at the top of the page the here bellow announcement, and this, although Adblock Plus is disabled.
    Code:

If I ask this question, it means that no image is displayed. To check if the image being added is well present, I have to connect with Internet Explorer especially.

    Regards

Seems the same - from downunder - neither calib in SdkRegistry, but there's ts_calibrate in skins folder - same there. OK, will try this one on my Go700 (calibrat app won't work - all symptoms as

Maybe you've to install the Navcore first and get an extra calib icon ?

Actually not - after installing this NC no extra icons appeared, but 2:
    1 - "quickGPS fix"
    2 - "DSA skinchanger"

Confirm: when first time tap "DSA skinchanger" - calibration process starts as

wrote - black screen and white cross appears, goes round all 4 corners and finishes in the centre of the screen, then device restarts.
According to instruction - this tool starts only once. To launch it once more - must reinstall NC (maybe - only some files/directories, but didn't try - my aim was different).

But can't confirm/deny the tool is working properly - as

    claimed -
    Link URL:

    - after restart I can't see any changes:

    1 - no cal.txt was created
2 - the device works as it had before

Possible reason? I don't know why file calib.txt was not created at all - maybe due to no problem was with my screen calibration...
Nevertheless, if I'll face a problem with calibration - I'll know which NC to install for going through automatic routine.

Well, made work stand-alone 'Calibrar' by updating all files/folders (but files calibB, calibP) with ones find in NC 9.510 (Downunder).
But result - same as in post above - no cal.txt generated...

Here's the method I used to set my screen calibration. It allowed me a considerable time saving

MaxX Affects the LEFT edge of the screen
Increase MaxX = Touch point moves further to the RIGHT of where touched
Decrease MaxX = Touch point moves further to the LEFT of where touched

MinX Affects the RIGHT edge of the screen
Increase MinX = Touch point moves further to the RIGHT of where touched
Decrease MinX = Touch point moves further to the LEFT of where touched

MaxY Affects the Top edge of the screen
Increase MaxY = Touch point moves closer to the Top of the screen
Decrease MaxY = Touch point moves closer to the Centre of the screen

MinY Affects the Bottom edge of the screen
Increase MinY = Touch point moves towards the Bottom of the screen
Decrease MinY = Touch point moves towards the Centre of the screen

    Good calibration
