Navcore for TomTom Toyota II
Hi,
A friend of mine has a TomTom Toyota II sat nav, 128MB RAM, running unpatched navcore 7.828. I tried all navcore in Downunders' Automatic Navcore Installer but none of them worked.
Does any one know or have a patched navcore for TomTom Toyota II? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Before you start be sure to have a full working copy of what have now.
Than patch the Navcore and the old map and test if ti will run, just to be sure if that device accept patched maps
In my collection original Navcore's I don't see 7.828, but when it's possible to use patched parts, you need at least 9.0xx whe you want to use the latest maps.
But sure there must be another Toyota expert here with the right answers

IF you need it Aad, I've also added it to my full set here
Must have come out after basflt posted his list here
Either way, subject to finding a map WITH META that's compatible; there's no reason to assume it won't work but I don't reckon there's much likelihood of newer, non-Toyota navcores running but maybe there is????

Normally maps which are compatible with Windows mobile and have a known meta code will work on this navcore.
For example maps from 1015-9156 serie.

Thank you, guys, for the info provided. This sat nav has a row of connector to communicate with the car's entertainment system. It has 128MB RAM and I can see less than 32MB free, so I guess the kernel must have a bunch of Toyota specific driver that consume that amount of RAM. That may explain why I can't use GO navcore. So the question remains: Where can I find a better navcore for Toyota? (as suggested that 9.0xx is needed for current maps) Is patching the old 7.828 the only option I have?

I'm afraid, but give 9.510 for 32mb devices a chance
No guarantee, at most up to the door
P.S.

@pe1agp I have had a chance again to play with my mate's TomTom Toyota II. Sadly enough, the 9.510 navcore did not work at all. I patched the original 7.828 navcore and be able to use the latest map but as this navcore does not support any of the advanced features (e.g. ALG), I am still looking for a way to get a 9.x navcore running on it.
I still have a strong feeling that some special driver is needed for a newer navcore to work on this Toyota unit. The 128MB memory must be there for a reason. Where can I find a tutorial how to make a custom 9.x navcore from a working 7.828 one?

I think it will be proverbial search for a pin in a haystack with regard to a manual for making a special driver
I do not think that many who have developed tools here will immediately walk around telling you how to do that exactly.
But what exactly was the result of 9.510?
The most useful is to initially only install the Navcore and then see if a message wants to appear in the manner of no map found or something like that.
That way you could try out the various Navcores from version 9.0xxx
Are you planning to try some?
P.S.
I've found the original 7.828 with this as name 7.825.Dublin.cab and7.825.dublin.CAB-navcore-dublin.cab
I'm wondering if they have a version 9.0xxx for dublin too.
P.P.S.
Not found any, only the same
