I have two more GO 520 with strange issues:

First one has a boot loop issue. It shows tomtom screen, drums play, then proceeds to the other tomtom screen with the while loading line on the bottom, it goes halfway and then it reboots and goes into recovery mode. Mydrive Connect recovers it, goes to 100% recovery and dissapears from computer screen, device reboots and loads the black screen with white loading line, completes it and then goes to the next screen with the world in the background and white loading line, goes halfway and then reboots again and goes back in recovery mode. Besides normal Mydrive connect recovery I have also tried flashing navcore from 19 all the way to 22 downloaded from here, but symptoms are exactly the same. Any toughts?

Second one has a charging issue but I think also software related. I have used a fully charged battery from the one mentioned above. Basically, it starts up fine, updated through WI-FI, all is working fine. I have noticed that in the menu the battery icon doesn't appear. As soon as you plug it in, the charging battery appears, but as soon as you unplug it the battery insteat of showing how full is the battery, it still shows the device charging, even tough its not. At that point, the device starts to get really hot until powered down. Any toughts on this one as well? I have tried flashing the navcore, mydrive connect recovery. The moment is unplugged and plugged back, the computer won't recognize it that it has been reconnected.

the first does seem software problem, some corrupt file.
the second seems like a problem; Usb cable badly or female connector soldier to bad motherboard.

Allright, a little update as I've messed around with them a little more:

The one with the charging issue its straight a motherboard issue so I can't do anything with it anymore. I've taken all the metal shields from the motherboard, plugged it in and in one of the compartments there is what I think, a resistor writen 220 on it. That is the issue that the device is getting very hot because that resistor it gets very hot so I think it is blown, and don't have the patience to solder a different resistor on it.

For the one with the boot loop, is there a way to access the device internal files so I can overwrite the corrupt file with a good one? Or a way to just flash the whole OS alltogether? I've seen that the OS version is 3.10.49-g4188716 on the black screen with white letters. I was thinking if patching it will restore the software on it.
