A guide to patch Nav5 devices

Hello everyone,
Question that I always ask myself without having an answer. Do you need meta file on the device after activating everything to activate on the device?

Is there a difference between Nav3, Nav4 and Nav5 on this subject?

I noticed that a NAV4/NAV5 device with a meta file inside is longer at start -up than a meta file device.
