    Hi everyone,
I'm new here because I just had to buy a Go Basic Wifi 6", and i want to crack it, but i don't know Tomtom ecosystem well, and I can't find how to achieve the step #0 (updating to Navcore 21.200.0003.411).
Mine is in version 19.something and MydriveConnect want me to jump to 22.10.

I've managed to find the file: 00000000-0411-0021-1000-6f3694110001_system-update.ttpkg
How can I update my device with it?

    Thank you guys

Hi, here we are again, now defeating the security measures of Nav5 devices ! We know this hack will not be widely used because the Nav5 devices already have lifetime maps, but yet it was fun to break it ;) This hack is technically more complex to achieve and involves the disassembly of the device. Yes, open the device ! We couldn't find easy open doors to Rating: 5

And I don't know why I have it.
I do everything according to the instructions.

You can see everything in the photo.

You have successfully edited the file "patch_nav5.sh" with the location of your drive on linux.

The location of the 15Gb drive is approximately you see after running:

    • sudo su
    • fdisk -l

Check if you already have the patch installed ...

Now we can do some checks if you want, you write:
    • mount /dev/sdf userdata

to remount, if the console at the end says: / dev / sdf is monted.
With the partition mounted we go to the userdata folder of the "2_Linux" folder. To see some folders that will look like this:

This is what is in userdata:

    userdata/local/tmp/

    userdata/security/current

    /userdata/system/

    /userdata/app/

    /userdata/dalvik-cache/

    /userdata/data

    /userdata/adb/

to see the folder that doesn't show you anything, then you can select to open as root ... so this way you can see the folder and copy / paste / delete files or others.

Now it only remains to unmount the partition by typing:

    • umount /dev/sdf userdata

    - Restart the device: press the power button once briefly, the device will turn off, then press the button for 4 seconds to start it (Tomtom logo appears)
    - When starting the device, after the progress bar is at the end , our "MSTMS
My Nav5 Free App" will start automatically and your device will be patched.
A countdown will appear and the MSTMS splash disappears.
You are now ready to install the tomtom meta.txt (required), maps and radars.
We do this with the application "TTWinNav5.exe".

I have as in the photos added. After restarting the device, the "Free MY NAV5" screen does not appear.
How to view files as ROOT?
My Linux Kali LIVE version fired from pendrive. The icon in the "app" directory is not green like in your picture.

My kali linux is on live cd too.

Folders can be opened as root by right-clicking selecting open as root

I have no such option. Maybe my Linux has something wrong with it. Maybe some link checked version?

Managed to. The problem was with Linux. I still have a question how to throw all the radars at once? As I mark all countries, only one adds the program to me?

You cannot launch all radars at once.
The application can only read a different file name at a time, only partial packages can be loaded multiple (Europe_0, Europe_1, Europe_2, etc ...).
In this case you have to load packages one by one for the radars.

Try to describe the problem with linux in case you can help other colleagues.

Actually, the problem was with the Linux Kali version. I had 2020.1, changed to 2021.2 and it went. That version as if it did not have ROOT privileges despite commands.
