Thanks to the MSTMS team we can install the Trucks and Camper maps in nav5 in the same way as in nav4 and they suffer the same problem, originally, the device shows the vehicle selection menu for the Trucks map.

We can modify that menu in a simple way by modifying the patchit.sh file, located in the "data / local / temp" folder.

We connect with Filezilla to the device with the server number 169.254.255.1 and port 21

User and password can be left empty.
After filling in the port, press enter and the program will connect to the tomtom, if it is connected to the pc from usb.

With the connection made, we look for the file "patchit.sh" where we have commented before, in the "data / local / temp" folder.

We will go to the end of editing the file and we will see this:

With the file as we see it, the vehicle selection menu will be shown as truck.

If we want it to be shown as a camper:

We have to modify the file by writing this line:

• setprop ro.tomtom.pnd.model_id "X0C"

The file will look like this:

If we want it to be shown as Truck:

We must write the line:

• setprop ro.tomtom.pnd.model_id "X0T"

The file will look like this

We close and save the changes.

The filezille program shows us this message:

Click on "Yes" and that's it.
Now it is convenient to check if the permissions of the file have been maintained.
Click the left mouse button on the file and select file permissions:

It should be like this:

Press accept and we can close the Filezilla program, restart the Tomtom device and now if you select the Camper or Truck map, your vehicle selection menu is shown as Camper or Truck depending on the correction we have made:

If you want to go back to the truck menu, you just have to edit your "patchit.sh" file, eliminating the line you have added.

And you leave it as it was.

Remember to check the file permissions for each change.

Remember that if you select a camper or truck map, the menu that shows bicycle and pedestrian will not be functional as a truck.
In nav4 / nav5 it doesn't matter if you install the truck or camper map because they are twin maps.

Important, do not modify any other files on your system if you do not know what you are going to do, you cannot remove maps or other files by force.
