Startup image replacement on a TomTom Start 52
Hello, I write from Italy. I have an old Start 52 model (bought in 2016). On the service screen, "nav4-a5" appears so I presume this is a Nav4 generation device. Since I would like to install it permanently in my car, I would like to replace the startup image with the car logo. And - why not? - to replace the logo of the vehicle. But, my Tomtom is not seen by the PC as a memory card, it can only be accessed through MyDrive Connect App and there is no way to make such a change. Is there anyone who can help me in this trouble? Depends on how knowledgeable around a computer you are.
The "simplest" way would be to download the MSTMS patch, modify the images in "files/splash" to what ever you desire (Remember to keep the same image settings (res, colour depth, rotation, etc)), and then patch your TomTom following the guide. That way during the patch process it will also copy over your desired splash screens.
However if you don't want the full "patch" you can follow the guide upto and including the root and enable ADB step in the guide (This step is what enable us access to the internals of the TomTom using Android Device Bridge - ADB), then push over your desired images to the /data/ttcontent/common/installed folder on the TomTom using ADB. But this requires a bit more manual work and knowledge of using ADB and the command line.Last edited by CrosseyeJack; 9th March 2024 at 06:44 PM.

Many thanks, I replaced the splash file by MSTMS patch, all OK!!!
