TomTom start 62 navigatie systeem
Hallo. Ik ben een beginneling op het navigatie gebied, en ik hoop op jullie ervaring een paar antwoorden te krijgen.
Ik heb nog een TomTom start 62 navigatie liggen, en die wil ik graag updaten. Kunnen jullie mij vertellen, welke navcore en kaarten ik hiervoor kan gebruiken. ik heb ook van iemand gehoord over een bootloader.
Hopelijk dankzij jullie, kan ik hem nog updaten.

Hello. I am a novice in the navigation field, and I hope to get a few answers from your experience.
I still have a TomTom start 62 navigation lying around, and I would like to update it. Can you tell me which navcore and maps I can use for this. I also heard from someone about a bootloader.
Hopefully thanks to you guys, I can still update it.

7 simple steps to update your device with the latest map
To update your device with the latest map, follow these simple steps:
1) VERY IMPORTANT: Connect your device to your computer via USB. Using Windows Explorer, open your TomTom drive and backup the complete contents of your TomTom.
2) Check your navcore version. You can do this either on the device menu under Version Info, or you can check the navcore version in TomTom Home when the device is connected to your computer, or by opening the ttgo.bif file with notepad.
Try to find Navcore 9.510, which work on most devices, it's always possible to install another
3) Check which map is compatible with your navcore using the latest compatibility, found on most forums
4) Get the map which fits you best and which also fits on your device
Delete the old map folder
5) Extract the map using WinRaR or similar.
Copy across the new map folder into the root of the device.
Make sure when you open the map folder it only contains the map files, not another folder within a folder.
6) Download the latest version of FastActivate from the FastActivate thread:
Extract the file and copy across FastActivate.exe to the TomTom drive (the root of the device).
7) Run FastActivate.exe from the TomTom drive, clicking on the first 3 options in order, waiting for each to complete:
Update meta, patch maps, patch navcore.

In my opinion start 62 is NAV4.
To confirm, write what are the first two letters of the number from your navigation....
Install My Drive Connect (MDC) on your computer and connect your device.
With the help of MDC you will update your device.

Er zit geen SD kaart in het systeem, en leest vanuit het interne geheugen. kan niet met de windows verkenner in het interne geheugen kijken. Maar gelukkig, het is mij kennelijk gelukt met mydrive hem bij te werken. Het volgende staat nu aangegeven bij menu/info: Applicatieversie 22.100.0002.311 (0) (14-11-2022, Geïnstalleerde kaarten Europe v1110.11947 (uitgegeven 04/2023).
Volgens mij moet het nu goed zijn, ben dankzij jullie veel te weten gekomen. hartelijk bedankt voor de snelle hulp.

Don't forget this is an English speaking forum.
There is no SD card in the system, and reads from the internal memory. Can't view internal memory with windows explorer. But luckily, I apparently managed to update it with mydrive. The following is now indicated under menu/info: Application version 22.100.0002.311 (0) (11/14/2022, Installed Maps Europe v1110.11947 (released 04/2023).
I think it should be good now, thanks to you I learned a lot. thank you very much for the quick help.

So this problem has been solved.
Still curious about the first 2 characters of the serial number.
It should result in a Start via 62, I suspect.
As long as you can provide it with an update via the normal way, just keep doing it.
If that does not work in the long run, there are many more than excellent tricks available here.
