not switching to truck map

I tried to help out one of my friends with his TT 62, it seems it is patched with NAV4, i am not so experienced with it so I would need your help. The navigation part using the base map seems ok. Because he is a truck driver, he told me that he uses a different map and it needs to be swapped out in the settings menu. At the moment it doesn't work for a few seconds the screen with the TEAM MSTMS appears and later it comes back with the base map. What could be the issue and how could I resolve it?
I am a novice user of nav4 and TT devices, if you can please point me in the right direction.
