Tomtom Start 25 Map screen keeps dropping out to Menu screen

Has anybody had a Tomtom Start 25 with Lifetime Map Updates where the map screen drops outs after approx 30 mins and reverts back to the Main Menu screen. The Tomtom has been updated to the most recent Nav and Maps and I am at a loss to understand why it would do this.

It was doing this with the previous Nav and Maps so it wasn't the update which caused it and hoped the upgrade who cure it but unfortunately it hasn't.

Any help would be appreciated if you have come across this in this or a similar Tomtom.
