Default Using SD card >16GB with R-Link Explorer [without resizing]

As some people may have noticed, R-Link Explorer does not work properly with SD cards that are larger than 16GB. The workaround people have been using involves resizing the FAT32 partition to 16GB.

However, it possible to use the full space available on the SD card without doing this. The following method was tested using a 32GB SD card.

    1. If you have shrunk your SD card partition, please resize it back to the full size.

    2. Reformat your SD card as FAT32 (you will lose all your data on the SD card).

    3. Insert the SD card back into the TomTom while it is turned on, it will read the memory card and ask to format the card, press "Yes".

    4. Insert the SD card into your SD card reader again. Open Command Prompt and enter the following commands (replace D: with the drive letter of your SD card):

    Code:

This will remove the "read-only" attribute so that tools/applications can modify the files properly.

and overwrite TTFS.dll with the attached version at the bottom of this post. There is a bug in this file which prevents TOMTOM.010, TOMTOM.011, .... etc, from being read properly from the SD card.

    6. Enjoy. R-Link Explorer should work properly with your larger SD card partition.
