Hello, I am kinda new to this, I have Renault Megane 2013 which has TomTom Carminat Live.

There is a guy that was updating my maps until now so I know that it is possible. I want to try it myself, I bought 16gb sdhc and then I read somewhere that you need some special CID defined SD for live maps.
Since all of those posts are from last year or year before, my question is if there is some new way that I can maybe mock CID of the card I bought (since I really don't wanna use the "original" card that guy made me which probably has good CID) and if so, where could I get maps for it.
I have tried searching for maps in TT activator but it seems that all of the maps are different format (I don't even know if carminat is NAV2, NAV3 or whatever).

Is there some specific process for getting a map, uploading it to sd card and activating it. I know that there is a lot of information on this formum but it is pretty scattered and it can be outdated.


What I did until now is:
I made a backup of original sd card on pc and pasted it on new SDHC
I screenshotted DeviceSerialNumber and other stuff from TomTom Home

I added ttgo.bif file to the root of the folder
Tried opening TT Activator but it wouldn't recognize it
I tried leaving and deleting loopback folder, same thing
I changed DeviceName in ttgo.bif to TomTom Carminat LIVE as in info screenshot I took from TomTom HOME and still nothing
I tried same procedure with original SD and it is still not recognized in TT Activator
