tomto go live 1005 cr52 wont connect to my drive

Did you use original tomtom cable ?
don't use a normal usb cable connected to the tomtom mount , cable must be direct connected to tomtom , and as Biggerdave told you use a different PC Port or change PC , if you can't connect to TTActivator or to MDC then probably your tomtom have problems ..it's old !
but ... did you used TTActivator ? did you tried to put :
