in general it is not for the processor,
this photo is NAV5 but the operation is the same, the USB cable has 5 cables inside, usually;
red, black, white, green and blue.
if you sacrifice a USB cable and do as in photo, you connect it to the Tomtom and with a tester check that has continuity with the terminals in the motherboard if any of the 3 data will fail to be error of the miniusb connector,
if you have continuity to motherboard, you should check the continuity on the tracks, transistors, coils, etc.....more laborious scraping clues and then healing with ink and raya grape.
