FastActivate doesn't detect my micro SD-card in my TomTom GO 950
Hello,
I've a map without *.dct file in my micro SD-card of my TomTom GO 950, I would like to generate a *.dct file with the program FastActivate, but FastActivate doesn't detect my micro SD-card in my TomTom GO 950. I've the same problem when I put my micro SD-card with an adaptater in my laptop.
Someone can help me ?

Put the file "ttgo.bif" (intern memory) also onto your microSD. Only then will the memory card for FastActivate (and also TTActivator) become a "TomTom".

Maybe the resolve here (from another forum):
<< To activate an additional map that is on a new SD card, make sure that there is also a copy of ttgo.bif (copied from the internal memory) on the card (in the root directory) and that you have the LATEST FastActivate ALSO in the root of the card. Then run the FastActivate from the card. >>Last edited by biggerdave; 16th May 2020 at 10:01 PM. Reason: removed link to alt forum

I haven't written anything else .These tools need this file to recognize a memory card as a "TomTom".

Yes, it works but my TomTom GPS restarts in a loop when I put the micro SD card inside with Europe_1045_10000 map or USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1045_10002 map.
I don't understand the problem.
When I copy USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1045_10002 map on TomTom internal memory, it works perfectly.

Thank you but I've always the same problem after having moved mapsettings.cfg on my computer (from USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1045_10002 map on TomTom internal memory) and tried again.
First, it freezes and then it restarts in a loop.Last edited by dosibox; 16th May 2020 at 11:31 PM.

mapsettings.cfg is for sure 90% the problem.
If you have more than one map be sure all mapsettings are moved to another place.
Next step could be to test step by step when and where it goes wrong.
Move any map to another place and watch if the navcore end with no map found.
If you have also an internal memory, clear it, please.
Not all devices can handle both internal and external at the same time.

Take this test:
- Format your SD card to fat32.
- Copy the map from your IM (if the map works well) to your card.
- Delete the mapsettings from the map to the SD card.
- Edit the pna of one of the maps to identify them or remove the IM map.
- Delete your currentmap.dat IM file.
- Put the SD card only with the map in the gps, the gps is off.
- Turn on the gps.
- If you have not removed the IM map the gps should give you to select a map. You have edited the pna and you know what the SD card map is, or there is only the card map.
- Either way, select the card map.
- Check that the gps works properly.
- If the gps works fine, turn off the gps, take out the card and paste the mapsettings from the IM starting map.
- Put the card back.
- Turn on the gps and check if it still works fine.
