START 25 - Sudden Death?

if after doing what @jpgblue indicates it doesn't work,
check volts of the photo, with battery tester disconnected and the charger connected, the value indicated + 3.20 v must be 0
press the power button and at that point the value must be equal to or approximately 3.20 v
If your eMMC is 4GB it will be a little bigger than the photo.

I plugged it in today to update to the 1040 maps via MDC - this device has 'lifetime' updates. Sure enough, once connected - it showed three updates, the NZ map, the AU map and I think the quick GPS. Now before I could select and start the update, the update automatically started, then failed midway (starting the device had disconnected) and the START 25 went blank. That's it. It has been blank since. No matter how long I hold the power Rating: 5
