Names are still gibberish. Town names, street names. What can I do about it?
Other thing: it looks on the satellites quickly, but it's slow when there is one and another turn close to each other. It does not update my position for few seconds, whilst I'm 30-50m already left my position at the traffic lights.
Did anyone experienced this?

Wiped all folders, and copied everything again, without deleting 4 files if you use the 3.5" model. Now street and town names are okay. Feels a bit faster ,and more responsive.
Looks like there was some data corruption during data transfer. See how it goes today.
The '9.702 x10_ONE.rar' by the way didn't work.
Put back the original recommended for TomTom One:
Navcore Truck 9.702 WNRO ONE GL1 Edition [DSA, treysis, Joghurt's, Speedy29]
In the instruction it says delete these files:
data_3d.chk file
data_im1.chk file
data_im2.chk file
data_lim.chk file
Now they are present, and names are okay.

Pay attention that the System file is in this navcore, if you copy this completely to the root of your Tommie you"ll have bootloader 5.512 installed. if you don"t want to change bootloader just remove the System file.

This is a comment realy for new devices and not so much for the older units regarding the new maps of 1035. I have seen a lot better road change information and more accurate. speed evens are a lot better and buildings a lot clearer ( nothing like as good as my car nav) but better. Google is a lot better. Routing is better, but was always pretty good. Did I miss the system update as usual? Anyway, it is a lot better now. I was planning on buying an Audi again and took a drive test. Since I know the area well and traffic, I put it though a test when I knew traffic would be bad........TomTom excels, but Audi map clearer,,, A sizeable discount and negociation. Love it when they need to sell in Sept and bargains present. Did I buy? NOPE I will later with a demo car possibly in a few months
One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

Hey, not sure if this helps.
I have a TT Go720 and use two Navcores since the roll over - NC 9.541 and 9510(auto on), both work fine with regards to time being correct and quick satellite fixes but both lose GPS fix after 7 days.
I used the clear flash tool and updated to stock 9.541 in an effort to avoid having to update EPHEM every 7 days bt still have that issue.
I use TTquickgpsfix on the TT device to update EPHEM and then have no issues with signal for another week.
I successfully use a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a S7 with the app BlueDUN
For it to work I had to go into the BlueDun settings of the app and check the box "Modem Compatibility" (Ignore AT command errors. Then I paired my SGS 4 and also SGS7 with the TTGo720 then set up the Data connection.
Once the Data connection is up and running I go to the Quick GPS Fix and click on it to update EPHEM. (Also can check weather etc)
It is a cumbersome set up because if the phone pairs to the TT without the BlueDun app running, it seems to kill the data function only leaving "headset functionality" and I have to "manage phone" and delete the phone and set it all up again the next time I want to update the GPS. (But is still helpful when there is no access to a PC)
No doubt you Gurus could come up with something better.

Yes: Update the firmware of your GPS chip in your Go720 to 3.2.5 (it's currently at 3.2.4). The firmware was released for another device by TomTom, but never made available for the older units. However, we found ways how we can still update the older units as well. Actually, user @Jeanet of this forum was the first one (and brave enough as well!) to test the update routine, successfully as well.
Unfortunately, I can only offer you Italian and German sites at the moment:

@rhinozim
Update the firmware of your GPS chip in your Go720 to 3.2.5 (if currently in 3.2.4).
Attention, you need to upgrade from SD, and with 100% charged battery.
With this update you no longer need to update the ephem folder.
