No problems with my Go920 (Sirf Star) and NC 9.702. Some seconds after recognition the satellites time is correct (I use a suicide.dat, that's why my TT is allways starting with 00.00).
P.S: the file glgps isn't made for Sirf Star models. You can delete it and your Go x20/30/7000 is working nevertheless without any problems.
Replacing glgps on these devices is nonsense ...
Definitely "no". Tested on my 920 (9.702) and 730 (9.510). Both without any changes after 07.April.
Not quite true . Today i delete the file glgps and it works anyway.Last edited by Alfred_ML; 28th April 2019 at 01:45 PM. Reason: typo

@Alfred_ML
Indeed Alfred as soon as a satellite is received everything is at 00:00
This One XL of serial number starting with L1 now runs on Navcore 9.510
My other One, that little square box, from serial number starting with PB shows the same behavior, with 9.541
When I now plan a route to a place on our coast in both, the clock initially stays at 00:00 but both indicate the correct time for the duration of the ride.
If I switch both off and do a hard reset, then the route is still on and when the demo is now started on both the clock shows the correct time and also the correct duration of the ride. The route demo work also fine, without a single problem.
I had a completely different experience last Wednesday with my Rider v2 with Navore with the famous winding route option 9,500.
At home everything was still normal, clock indicated the correct time, route set for a ride to Arnhem, my motorcycle was still in the backyard when setting up, everything turned off again to take something with me.
When starting before departure it usually takes a while before there is a signal, unfortunately this time the experience was totally different, no signal. After driving around 50Km without even receiving 1 satellite, I stopped by a gas station.
The Rider v2 was reset and further on my way to Arnhem, only about 5KM before my destination was my route suddenly there, it's good that there are still signposts along and above the road, otherwise I would still be there been searching.
On the way back, also after a reset and keeping a good satellite signal with the right clock in hand, but once again on the motorcycle on the way home this time no route seen.
Arrived at home later in the evening TomTom Home started and a QuickGPSfix was offered spontaneously, after this update at least 9 satellites were received within a few minutes without any difficulty.
At the moment the situation is that I don't see any satellite on the status bar, the position and the clock are displayed correctly and the same route to the coastal city including the route demo are displayed correctly.
With magic, another old hobby from a long time ago, a single simple trick I do immediately, but performing miracles usually take much longer.
But I realy don't understand anything of thisLast edited by pe1agp; 26th April 2019 at 04:42 PM.

Nothing helps for my ONE3rd (Y4 with GL FFFF), neither GpsFix nor setting the time by hand. But at least I can navigate with it, do not need my white cane yet .

There will come a time when we will all have to switch to the latest models, but I think we should be able to determine for ourselves how long our devices will last and that this is not determined by the manufacturer of the device

This should be, but if I go to the TomTom page to buy a map and test the browser compatibility (GO 920 serial number M8). The answer is: We stop sales of map updates and other services for this model.
Which makes us suspect that TomTom is plotting something that all old devices will not like.
I think this is the true Week Number Rollover

That is what I mean, it should not be the producer who will ultimately determine the lifetime of my equipment.
I would like to determine when I want to purchase a more advanced model

@piricici
speedy29 (Italian forum GbcNet) realized a batch allowing to update the position of the satellites without having to go through TomTom Home. The batch downloads the "Ephemeris.cab" file directly from the TomTom servers and extracts the update files from QuickGPSfix. Then you have to copy the files to the "\ephem" folder of the navcore.
I have adapted and translated into French the batch so that it works in any folder, which allows to use it directly in the "\ephem" folder. speedy29 allowed me to use his batch after modification. I made 2 versions: one for the SiRFStarIII chip (GO x20, x30 and 7000) and one for the GlobalLocate 2 chip (GO x40, x50 and 9000).
Download the archive that corresponds to your GPS models from the links below.
Unzip the archive, then place the "Date Conversion" web link and the "QuickGPSfix_SiRFStarIII.exe" or "QuickGPSfix_GlobalLocate.exe" executable file from the archive into the "\ephem" folder of your navcore.
To update the position of the satellites, double-click on the file "QuickGPSfix_SiRFStarIII.exe" or "QuickGPSfix_GlobalLocate.exe" depending on the GPS model.
As indicated on the TomTom website, this update is valid for the next 7 days. The expiry date is in the file "ee_meta.txt". This date is in UNIX format. To transform it into a classic date, copy the number that appears on the line "Expiry=xxxxxxxxxx", then paste it into the "UNIX TimeStamp" field of the address below (you can also click on the "Date Conversion" link that you copied to the "\ephem" folder).
