tt one (v8)(Canada 310)? GL1 with nc 8.061, updated nc to 9.541 both show time at 12:00. no fix for the GL1 it seems

How can i determine which type of gps chipset is in a tomtom? The sirf or GL1 or GL2.
Maybe there is a list of al that information which tomtom has what type of GPS Chipset. Then you can make an inventory of the actions that can be done on various types of tomtoms.
Because i understand from reading all above that there are several solutions or there is no solution for the WNRO problem.

Try what Charlie62 suggested, I think it will work on most devices
Another problem is your GPSFix update, than you must know exactly which chipset you have.

I have somewhere an old excell file with information about these chipsets

I look at it and give it a shot what Charlie suggested.

I have an One XL the first two are L1 as I may believe my Excell file equipt with Global Locate v1
And the modification work without a problem

I do have here a litle TomTom ONE 30 Series met 1GB updated to 9510 and did the fix with GLGPS from Charlie. but the time keeps flipping to 00:00

PB is correct, wich one of the 9541 versions is suitable for this device ?, because it won't get an automatic update from tomtom home.
