Create a new document called suicide.txt > open it and enter 20 > close & save it > rename the file extension to *.dat = suicide.dat
Because you entered 20...it will turn off after 20 seconds...if you entered 30, it would turn off after 30 seconds etc

No...when you turn your device off, it actually goes into standby mode...if you've put a suicide.dat into the root and then you turn it off, it will actually turn off rather than going into standby mode

Oh, so even when I leave my device off for days/weeks, it is actually not 100% off but only on standby?
Now with the suicide.dat file, when I switch off it will (after the number of seconds specified in the file) turn completely off. Then when I turn it back on, it does a fresh boot, like the one it does after a device reset, and because of that it will find the satellites quicker.
Did I get it now?
