Interesting find. I noticed a similar behavior during testing, but that was with fake messages and disappeared after I was able to correctly translate live messages. Does it stay the same or change even more if you repeat the step a couple of times (going out of the menu, then syncing clock again)? Could also be possible that the internal time is off by too much. Actually it should be easy to write a tool to check that. I'll see what I can do...
I also wonder if it has to do with the map version that you are using? (e.g. I don't know where TT stores timezone information? Anybody have any idea about the location of the timezone database?).

@mercury
Please unpack the following file to your TomTom, wait for it to acquire satellites, do the clock synchronization with the 30 min delay, and then please go into options menu, one of the last pages, and click on "TimeCheck". Also note down the current time at your place and the time from the UTC number in satellite view.
Then, when you connect to PC, you will find a file called "tclog.txt" in the folder "timecheck". Can you send what is written in this textfile?

At each startup 2 files are created at the root of One XL if they don't exist: "settings.dat" and "userpatch.dat". At the shutdown of the GPS they are updated. The "mapsettings" file in the map is also updated when the GPS is turned off. It's probably in one of these 3 files that are saved the parameters concerning the time and the satellites. I sent them to you in private message.

Thanks Charlie62, I couldn't find anything. I don't think satellite parameters are stored in the maps. I think it's independent, maybe even some NVRAM storage inside the chips, probably handled by the drivers.
And timezone must be somewhere else...that could be in the map folder, but it has to be some static database that correlates location with timezone.
