On my TomTom One 3rd Edition GPS Chip GL1 (navcore 9.541), i have got same problems.
Time changed to 00:00 (and doesn't change) after syncing with satellites.
I thought the navigation was still okay but on some trips, I have started to have unstable navigation with my GPS position being from time to time shifted from 50-100 meters, which totally screw the navigation.
Having latest GPSfix only solve the navigation for few days. I have to update latest satellite positions to have a more stable navigation.
I really hope that someone find a solution for GL1 (or could make a new gltt file). A german guy has asked in TOMTOM forum if he could access the gltt code source. No answers yet...
or if someone knows how to create a program that convert data recevied from the GL1 to NMEA messsages.
According to navit website,
- This gltt file is a driver named "gltt" which translates the gps messages into real NMEA messages.
- gltt write to the named pipe /var/run/gpspipe - gltt is called like this sample: gltt -baud 115200 -periodic 1000 -fix_start normal -rftype HH_4L
Does someone know how to access in telnet/shell the tomtom?
Thanks.Last edited by tomtom00; 16th May 2019 at 05:27 PM.

I have a surprise for you: I finally found how to update the position of satellites (QuickGPSFix) directly from a TomTom Truck using an Android smartphone, ie. without having to use a computer to connect to the TomTom servers via the TomTom Home software. I wrote a tutorial, but it's in French. I think you will have no problem to understand using Google translation.
Tutorial:
Files to add to the navcore:

No need for all that, the signal problem was temporary.
You only need to have an ephem folder with the three files. Even if he is a few years old.
I tried with an ephem file that I recovered from an old backup that dated from 2014.
The locking of 10 satellites took place in 23 seconds.
Please confirm what I have just announced.

read the forum pretty well but now there is a simple solution for the GO630 and GO720 with software 9.702 with the truck Europe map. the trick to change the number in the Ephem folder to the EE_meta.txt in 1620302910. does this work now or not for the longer term, so not having to do a gps fix every seven days?

I have simular problems as TomTom00 #341 with my TT ONE 3rd Edition GPS chip GL1 but Navcore 9.510. Til no solution is found for GL1, I have to accept the time-reset to 00:00. The main problem I have, is the unstable satellite positions / no satellites found even after a GPSFix update.
Today I discovered the file "lto.dat" was disappeared. Does someone know if the combination NC9.510, WNRO and GPS chip GL1 can be the reason for deleting the lto.dat file? Or is there an other root cause for deleting the lto.dat file in folder ephem on TomTom-device?Last edited by matheas; 22nd May 2019 at 12:15 AM.

Your TT ONE 3rd Edition should start and find the satellites also without any files in the folder "ephem". It takes max. 2-3 minutes, maybe depending on the weather. I have checked this on my ONE3rd (NC 9.510), Go730 (NC 9.510) and Go920 (NC 9.702). And if the device has found current positions of the satellites, why should it lost them again?
Put this lto.dat in the folder "ephem" again and you will see: Nothing gets better with your device...Last edited by Alfred_ML; 24th May 2019 at 01:46 PM.
