    Yes you could press the reset button on the bottom of the unit or if you havant used it for a few hours you might find it works on first start just dont turn it off :P .

    Looks like that gpsfix stays as long as you do not switch off your nav device. Once switched off you have to wait for a few hours before the system is able to lock on a satellite again after switch on (see #206). Now we only have to find out what exactly "a few hours" means and whether this workaround will work for ever. Auto switch off of the nav device can be avoided by connecting the usb cable to a 12V supply socket which stays ON while your car is switched off.

    Wasn't aware the reset button is effective as well. That's the ultimate emergency brake. Great!!!!

    I don't know if it helps for your x20/30/7000 with problems:

    I use this NC at my Go 920 without any problems. Whether after some hours neither after more than one week...

    To download the file from zippyshare use the Tor-browser (try with a new identity, if problems) or use a browser with integrated VPN like Opera.

    Indeed very useful ,works for me on all my x20s and 30s, give it a try and see if it works for you ,I presume its because a full reset puts the clock back too 12am and it forgets where the sats have been or it thinks they should be but im only guessing.

    Both devices (Go 920 and Go 730) display "Sirf 3 FFFF".
    They starts with "00.00" (suicide.dat!) and after 1-3 minutes they have satellites and correct time.

    I just created this one. "ttn" (see attachment)

    Its a bit easier to use and provides more details.
    Extract it onto your (internal) sdcard.
    Start your TT. Wait until it runs as normal.

    Copy a new file "tt.txt" from your (internal) sdcard onto your PC and publish the content here.
    Relevant is the line "gpstype= .."
    Remove tt.txt and ttn.

    gpstype : 2 (GO 300; GO 500; GO 700) == Sirf 2 [no problem, use my 9541]
    gpstype : 3 (GOx10,GO 715,GOx20,GOx30,Rider1,2,Go7000) == Sirf 3 [no problem, use my 9541 or 9501]
    gpstype : 128 (ONE_2, One_3, One XL == GL1 == "Hammerhead" [problem will not be solved, use my 9541 or 9501]
    gpstype : 129 (ONEv8, OneXL(RB,RC)) == GL1 == "Hammerhead" [problem will not be solved, use my 9541]
    gpstype : 130 (OneXL(RV),GOx40,GOx50,ONE IQ Routes Edition,ONE XXL IQ Routes,XL,XL IQ Routes Edition,TomTom START,Go9000,UrbanRider) == GL2 == "Barracuda" [problem solved with NC 9.541, Go9000: copy file glgps, Urban: use my 9501]
    gpstype : 65 (Rider 2013) == Atheros "AR1520A" [problem solved with NC 9.501]

    download this:

    ttn.zip
