    ...or is Charlie62 actually suggesting a workaround to avoid having to run Quickfix (from wherever) every 7 days? A bit like fooling TTHome that it's already running the latest version?

    Maybe it's just not too clear because Charlie62 needs to use a translation app peut-etre?

    I'm afraid we've to deal with WNRO with most devices, anyway even when Home won't offer you a QuickGPSfix update both above will do

    hi try with a hold ephem files to change the date unix like charlie62 give the link, but same problem on x20 x30 take signal one time , turn off no more signal
    disappointed again

    It's really weird! On all my TomTom Truck (navcore 9.702) I have no satellite problem. They capture the satellites in ± 30 seconds after an update of QuickGPSfix, even inside my house surrounded by tall trees!

    I tested on the following models: GO 920, GO 630, GO 730, GO 930, GO 540, GO 940, GO 750, GO 950 and GO 9000. It also works on an XL IQ Routes equipped with navcore 9.401 patched with the "glgps" file of 9.541.

    That's exactly the issue: mandatory weekly update of QuickGpsFix to get a reliable truck nav device. On the other hand, this "workarround" avoids that my old go630 truck becomes completely useless

    Its not weird , all our GO X20 X30 Truck 9.702 models work after a gpsfix update no problem its just you have to keep updating them.

    something extra i have noticed with my x20 and x30s is that if i havant used them for a few hours the next day they find the sats fine on first start but after a restart the problem is back.

    yes with the quickfix is ok but only a few days, i try a solution for not finish the effect after a few days , i try to change the date unix of files but not succes.
    i hope someone find a solution for the effect not finish after a few days

    Thanks pe1agp, this program updates the file lto.dat!

    Does anyone knows a solution if you go on a holiday-trip longer then 7 days and no PC available to run the file QuickGPSFix.exe?
