I've seen that statement many times.
Surely I can't be the only one where it's as easy as it is with my ONE :-
I can usually fix it by turning my TomTom off and back on again.
And if that doesn't work all I have do press for a reset to fix it.

7 days happens to be exacty a week.
So maybe by every new week turnover it has to be corrected?
Problably the solution of the gps-file replacement is not a 100 % solution.

Translated to english
My loose observations after seeing files in the "bin" folder:
The Global Locate chipsets are Broadcom systems (Broadcom bought Global Locate in 2007). The GL1 chipset is probably PMB 2520 Hammerhead prepared in cooperation with Infineon. The same is found in Iphone 3GS.
The "glgps" file is probably a binary file firmware. It looks like the file also supports other Broadcom models used in TomTom devices, e.g. BCM4750 / Barracuda BCM4751 or BCM2075 / 2076. There are links to these models in the file.
The "gltt" file does not appear to be the Global Locate chipset firmware. I do not know what he's responsible for.
Useful links
I think that more knowledge is available to those who create modified Navcore like DSA, familiar with Linux and preferably IDAPro.
It may be that TomTom has received a revised firmware only for GL2 chipsets and support for older GL1 does not already include a contract with Broadcom.
Moje luźne spostrzeżenia po obejrzeniu plików w folderze "bin":
Chipsety Global Locate to układy firmy Broadcom (Broadcom kupił Global Locate w 2007r). Chipset GL1 to prawdopodobnie PMB 2520 Hammerhead przygotowany we współpracy z Infineon. Taki sam znajduje się w Iphone 3GS.
Plik "glgps" to prawdopodobnie firmware w posatci binarnej. Wygląda że plik obsługuje również inne modele Broadcom stosowane w urządzeniach TomTom, np. BCM4750/Barracuda BCM4751 czy BCM2075/2076. W pliku można zauważyć odnośniki do tych modeli.

gltt is used, if gps_type == 128 ('-rftype HH_4L' ) or 129 ('-rftype HH_4L_INT_ON') => "GPS type is Hammerhead"
128 is GL1.Last edited by BMWdriver; 23rd April 2019 at 09:39 PM.

@Alfred_ML: I know from the beginning that GPS equipped with SiRFStarIII chip have no problem with the time, but it's easier for me to use the same navcore for all models, even if the "glgps" of the navcore 9.541 does not improve the GO x20, x30 and 7000 :-).

No, no, no !
all TT (nav2) devices have time problems
most devices with GL2 got an update which fix it
Only Rider Urban has GL2, but got no update so far.
This is the only device I know which can get help by replacing its glgps by that one from 9.541.
Devices wth GL1 need a fixed gltt, whch is NOT available so far.
I dont know whether there is a problem with Sirf star (Rider 1, 2)
There is definitely an unsolved problem with Qualcomm/Atheros AR1520 (Rider v4 / 2013).
buggy, but helpful:

Just to confirm, this fix seems to have done the trick with my two devices running NC v9.510 - Go 540 (WT) & Go 750 (W4) - Tested live for over an hour now, will report back if any further issues. Thanks to Charlie62 for taking the time to post the original detail.

I finally got around to testing my old Go 710, which I updated with Navcore 9.051 a while back. That (eventually) got a GPS fix and showed the correct time, and gave an ETA on a short sample journey. This is the one that the TomTom site said "this will have problems, and we're considering a way to fix them". (With apologies if this is common knowledge somewhere in the 17-odd pages since I last posted).
