Cannot substitute new map
I can't get my new v.1025 map to work.
I've been running TT Android 1.4 APK + Maps 1000.8641 (by Memiblue) on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with good results. I'd like to stick to 1.4 and my S3, but want to upgrade to map 1025.9386. I've downloaded that map, patched it with fasttactivate to have a new .DCT-file (Western_Europe-101852.meta.dct) and copied it to my device next to the v.1000 map. But I can't get it to work. It doesn't show up and there is no option to manage different maps

Are you sure your map is in the root of your internal or external memory ?
Be sure the map is not into a sub folder

whardy,
I don't think Memiblue has ever produced an app with a built in map changer.
You have a number of options assuming you have correctly positioned your new map and activated it with the correct device code.
The simplest is to delete the "currentmap.dat" file. You will then be given a choice of all the maps you have installed when you next launch the app.
All "Universal" apps have a built in map changer and map activator.
There is also a map changing app.Last edited by TomTom13E; 10th April 2019 at 03:48 AM. Reason: Typo

Deleting the 'currentmap.dat' does indeed bring up the choice option! Since both maps have identical names it was a bit of trial and error, but under settings it now shows the new map version. However it has still good old Memiblue's name attached...
Thanks!
BTW where to find this map changing app?

The map changer app is some years old and is no longer maintained.
I don't know if it works or was designed to work if the file layout is :- "Android/Data/....../files/files/....../cline.dat".
Some years ago I successfully used it with this file layout :- "tomtom/....../files/....../cline.dat".

The file layout seems familiar and the map changing tool may be very usefull. I'll give it a try.
Thanks again!
