I just checked my three devices using their serial numbers from the link in the start of the thread. My 710 says it's impacted, and TT are working to see if they can produce an update for it. My 720 says it can have an update, and a link is provided. My 300, the oldest of the devices I have, says "all is fine, nothing to worry about".

I am waiting to see what happens tomorrow. Strangely I just powered the 720 up for the first time in a few days and it popped up a message saying "There is probably a free map update available, please check TomTom Home". I don't recall it ever saying that before.

They sent me an email with information about three of my TomTom's including the serrialnumbers and they offer me at the same time an update too.
Curious I am started to connect my One Xl and read next what happen.

Does anyone know if the time/date process is held or managed within the Navcore software or is it in the unit's firmware?
One reason I ask is that I have a Go 720 (M6) on which I run a 9500 Rider Navcore.
I have copied back the original 9510 Navcore and updated it to 9541. That's fine if I want to use 9541 in a car. But I don't know if the update has "fixed" the unit at a hardware/firmware level - so it would also work when I revert to the Rider Navcore?
After the update, the unit creates a "new" 9541 .bif file so that suggests something in the firmware has changed.

TomTom use no date, only professional equipment, since TomTom use only the time, only your journey will be 15.005 seconds longer

If you are right, I think we can all cope with a 15 second inaccuracy!

But TomTom say the time and time to arrive will not work as the unit cannot calculate it meaningfully due to the WRNO issue?

I would still like to know if the WRNO update works by changing the firmware or the Navcore software and whether an updated unit will remain "fixed" even if used with a different Navcore. I suppose we will find out tomorrow or on 7th April.

TT know sweet FA. Let's just wait another 7 hours (01.00 am tomorrow UK time) and all will be revealed, probably bugger all! Fake news from Trump, blame Putin (sorry Yuri) or UK government going round in circles/"turn around when possible"
    Time will tell indeed!

Do not take my statement too seriously, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we will all know and until that moment it is best, if you want to believe in it, to keep your fingers crossed.
You can also look for 4 leaf clover in the garden, if you have one then it should certainly be okay.

Until now with all the navcores lost the date when connecting to TomTom Home, when leaving TomTom Home had retreated to the year 2000, with navcore 9541 the date is the same as the portable computer.
    I cross my fingers.
If my English is not correct, you already know that I am Spanish and I do not know languages.

    Hi bihurkatu,

If I have understood, I think you mean that the date/time is managed and stored in the software of the Navcore That might explain why the TomTom gets the date from the computer?
    Thanks

I think so and I think he has fixed it now with 9541.
My GO920 I bought it from TomTom Outlet, now it seems that there is no TomTom Outlet.
If you connected with TomTom Home, the date and time of the device became corrupted, yes or yes.
Now with navcore 9541 and TomTom Home 2.7.6.2056 modified in the aplication.ini file with the current version (currently 2.11.6.125), I am happy. I will cross my fingers.
    Regards,
