TT GO920T does not respond to touch
Hello Gentlemen, I have a problem with the GO 920T device. I managed to buy a new, foiled copy. After unpacking, however, it turned out that the device did not respond to touch at all. I've tried all the available methods. Reset, the file cal.txt does not bring any result at all. Has anyone had a similar problem? Was it possible to solve it without disassembling the device? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,
A few questions.
Can you access it via the USB bus from a PC or a Labtop? (I think so, because you did someting with a cat.txt file)
Is the battery fully charged?
Is there no responce at the tough screen at all?
I am afraid that your thouch screen is broken.
By the way, I only know the GO920 and not the Go920T . Does the serial number start with "M8" or something else?

Hello Peter,
The device can be operated using TT Home, it is also visible as a TomTom drive in a laptop. The battery charged a few hours and indicates 100%. The screen does not react to touch in any place. Nothing is happening completely. The serial number starts with M8.

I do not see anything there that would arouse my anxiety. Could you describe what exactly is going on?

For €15 to €30 you can buy a new screen. It can be replaced without sodering. Search the web for TomTom 920 touchscreen. You can also find a replacement instruction there. It is realy easy.

I do not have any words for this device anymore. The only and reasonable solution will probably be buying a new LCD and touch. Thank you for your commitment.

The only other thing I can offer as an alternative to try is removing any screen protector film if there & also try running a business card or similar all the way round under the screen bezel. If no better then it's off to eBay etc
Remember that adjusting the cal.txt really is hit 'n miss; touch 'n go (no puns intended)!
