Sorry, but this is not the right answer I'm asking about how did you formatting the SD or SDHC card ?
Normaly when you're using for intstance Windows 10, Windows will automatically format in NTSF
While FAT32 is normal for TomTom devices

I see now I've miss one answer, sorry
For me the only two things could be wrong, the format or the flatcable is not right connected
The first item you see is asking for an SD or SDHC card, the second warn you that the card you just put in is not correct
That eliminate more or less that something must be wrong with the connector
Just try another SD or SDHC card totaly empty, please.
It must show you "Card or map not found"

Strange..Weird... just got back myself.... had to pop out as run out of electric.
I'll check my Pm. have just started a full format. Fat32. Allocation units 16kilobytes.
Do I need to add a volume label?

I use always TomTom as label
By the way, when you press the on/off button for a long time, a black screen must show you you have a GO 710 now.
