its really a shame that we all can't get together i mean a good majority of tomtom sites like us to boycott Tomtom itself and to send them a message regarding the proposed changes like tank my sd card can easy accommodate bigger maps ,, all this is from tomtom is pure greed to get people to buy the latest tomtom satnav

Agreed, it's all about pushing new/inferior products!
Once the rest of the NAV2's are dumped and any remaining map subscriptions expire, then we're outa here unless someone really can crack the later devices for us.
Until that happens we/you/us all need to keep topping up/extending these map subscriptions on the last of the still-supported NAV2's as I'm sure they WILL be dumped this year!

According to TomTom; the ORIGINAL IOS APP is reaching its "End-of-life" next month. see and I'm just wondering if they'll kill off the rest of our NAV2's at the same time or do we get a bit longer; I do know they never bothered to pre-warn anyone when they killed off the first batch so I doubt we'll get notification this time either so when it does happen it will then be too late for us to forward-purchase any more map subscriptions...??!!

Looks like TT are already planning on killing off the rest of our NAV2 devices "soon" according to this from TT support sent to an owner of a currently-still supported "J4" GO 720 so I repeat my reminder that anyone with these still-supported NAV2's should seriously think about topping up any map subscriptions the have while they still can as "The End is Nigh" (remember those old men with placards like that?)

I'm still using it on a win mobile PDA from 2004/5. I wonder how long there's gonna be maps for it.

Further clarification (as anticipated) and current/latest list of end-of life devices announced today:-
To quote:-
We will stop to sell maps and services for devices with an internal memory of 2GB or less.
It has become clear that some of our older-generation navigation devices do not have enough memory to accommodate the latest available maps and software updates.
WTF are SD/MicroSD card slots for then?
WTF are more & more maps being broken down into smaller regional zones then?
Nope, me neither!

NAV2 devices appeared to be so good, that just override all their expectations - works perfectly for more than 10 years... As there's no any reasonable matter, they took a bunch of marijuana and wrote this bullshit...

...unlike their "wearables" which they've already stopped because they were cr@p!
"There will likely be no future development since TT has left the wearables market altogether (driven in large part by the failure of the Touch line)"
